Family Promise

“The Mission of Family Promise is to equip families and vulnerable communities to end the cycle of homelessness.”

Southminster partners with Family Promise of Greater Washington County to host families throughout the year.

We do this by strengthening the lives of the people we serve and building a strong community to support their ongoing success. Our program provides temporary shelter, case management (coaching) resources, advocacy, and referrals for homeless families with children that reside in our shelter program. We help to provide a community connection – a foundation for success – that goes with them when they leave our program.

After two years, we are finally able to “host” FPGWC and support families in need! There are three different ways to participate…

  • Provide and deliver a meal
  • Purchase a gift card (restaurant or grocery store) for a family
  • Attend Family Fun Night (fourth Wednesday of the month) More info coming soon……

If you want to volunteer to provide a meal or a gift card to a restaurant or grocery store, please click here. Due to Covid restrictions, volunteers will drop off meals or gift cards at the Family Promise house located at 5625 SW Erickson in Beaverton. Questions or more info? Contact Diane Bender at 503.332.8435 or email her.
