Adult Ed: Sunday Starter

We are kicking off 2016 with a 6 week Series on Jesus in the Muslim Tradition. It may surprise you to know that Jesus is a prophet in Islam and that the Quran contains more information about Mary, the mother of Jesus, than does the Gospels. While many of the stories about Jesus are familiar to us, many have surprising twists or entirely different narratives than we learned. In this time where so much misinformation is being passed around about the differences between Christians and Muslims, it will be interesting to explore how we have a common bond in Jesus.

Here is the Schedule for this series:

• January 3 – The Role of Jesus in Islam
• January 10 – Mary and the Birth Story of Jesus
• January 17 – Jesus on the Cross
• January 24 – The Second Coming
• January 31 – Muslim/Christian guest speaker
• February 7 – Muslim guest speaker
