Perhaps as God took a risk in creating us out of chaos, a power that has its own agency for good and ill, that as God took a risk in creating humans and takes risks for the beautiful and the good and the true and the just, that we can feel empowered to take a risk too, and follow this Spirit where ever She leads.
There is no reason be afraid of rising from the dead. There is no reason to fear the death-dealers. Whatever Jesus stood for. Whatever crucified Jesus for what he stood for, what Jesus stood for wins.
It isn’t so simple as Christ versus Culture as some of my fellow Christians frame it. Sometimes culture is a better option than Christian doctrine. One might say, that sometimes Christ is culture over against Christian doctrine.

Dare to stand alone.
Dare to have a purpose firm.
Dare to make it known.”
The story of resurrection is not about Jesus alone. The story of resurrection is for those who would follow this criminal—and that is how Rome saw him, a criminal worthy of nothing more than humiliation and elimination. The story of resurrection is trusting that he told and lived a truth worth living. The story of resurrection is the story of Love rising and rolling away stones that entomb our spirit, our souls, and our bodies.
