Pentecost Offering

“It was the Youth Triennium that rekindled the fire of my faith. I left Triennium knowing what the Lord was calling me to do.”

The Rev. Perryn Rice was 16 when he attended the Presbyterian Youth Triennium in 1986. There, he stood side by side with thousands of other teens worshiping, praying, and seeking answers for what God had in store for their lives. It was there that he felt the call to ministry. Triennium changed Rev. Rice’s life. Now he shares his life to inspire today’s youth. Rev. Rice will be attending Triennium again this year, as a preacher. He will be sharing a message on “The great GO-Mission,” inviting youth on this last day of the event to “GO” and make disciples, make a difference. Just as he did.

Rev. Rice’s story is one of many examples of how your gifts to the Pentecost Offering support ministries that raise up today’s youth and young adults to lead lives of faith and action, and help to meet the needs of at-risk children.

When you give to the Pentecost Offering, you support the Travel Grants program, which helps young people who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend Triennium get to the event. Every young person who wants to “GO” deserves the opportunity to attend this life-changing event.

Please share gladly and give generously to the Pentecost Offering.  The Presbyterian Youth Triennium brings together high schoolers and young adults from churches around the world to worship, pray, and share their lives with one another.  The Triennium theme is “GO,” and seeks to inspire and prepare youth long after the event itself, and encourage them to go back into the world to live out their faith and calling. Just as Rev. Rice did.  More than 5,000 youth and young adults attend Triennium.
