India Mission

November Update

picture1As I complete my first year of missionary service here in India, I want to thank you all again for your prayers and financial support. It’s been a year of ups and downs, but I am more confident than ever of my calling to serve here. I’ve experienced the firm hand of God throughout my time here, witnessing God’s healing powers as I’ve prayed for my sick children and co-workers, feeling God’s love flow through me to reach others, and relying on God’s guidance to direct my steps moment to moment.

It has been a joy to watch my girls grow up and draw closer to God over the last year and see their hope and faith strengthened. The distracted teenager who I homeschooled for my first four months here has blossomed into a focused and determined young woman.  The girls, from the four-year-olds to the 19-year-olds, have been enjoying the daily small group Bible studies that I do with them and have gotten much better at giving kisses instead of throwing punches. Three of the older girls were recently baptized, and my oldest girl is now married with a family of her own.

Although it has been a challenging year, I look forward to another year of service here at Rays of Hope Ministries. Please continue to keep me and my girls in Your prayers. Thank you again for your support. May God bless you.

With gratitude,

Rebecca Walker

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God… for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. – 2 Timothy 1: 6-7
